Good news

I just noticed that Merriam-Webster has evidently given Google Books permission to put their entire Dictionary of English Usage online.  This is a wonderful book — probably the most well-researched, well-reasoned and just plain sane English usage manual in existence.  It’s enormous fun to read and a joy to use.  Give it a gander and you’ll probably want to buy a hard copy.
