		<description>brilliant! m level of annoyance with the wily nily use of a word whose origin i could only guess at caused me to finally look it up. so glad the sites are not blacked out due to the anti-piracy movement so that i could satisfy my curiosity.
i suspected that vet is an abbreviation for investigate..but almost answered my own query when i typed in google search and realized that i needed context lest my question appear to be a question about the abbreviation
